Email Migration to eclipso Mail Europe: Migration Service for Your Emails
Email migration allows you to migrate emails from any email provider to your eclipso Mail Europe account. With our email migration tool, you can transfer your emails quickly, securely, and reliably. Requirements
- You need the login credentials for the account you want to migrate to eclipso Mail Europe. Your current provider must support IMAP.
Moving emails - Here's how:
- In our desktop version, open the menu Settings > Email | Migration.
- Select your current provider from the dropdown menu.
- If your provider is not listed, select "Specify another provider".
- Enter the access credentials for your external email account.
- Also enter the mail server specified by your current provider.
- If necessary, select the encryption method (e.g., SSL or TLS - varies by provider).
- Then enter the password for your @eclipso account in the "eclipso" section.
- Optionally, you can specify a name for the main email folder where your emails will be copied. You can accept our suggestion "Migrated emails" or choose your own name. By default, all email folders that are subscribed to or shared with your current provider will be migrated.
- Save the task by clicking [ Save ].
Migration Process
- The migration runs in the background and does not need to be monitored. You can close the browser window.
- You will receive an email notification upon completion.
- Please note that the copying process or migration may take several hours for large amounts of data!
Important Notes
- Only emails are migrated (no contacts or calendar entries).
- During the migration, you can continue to receive and send emails.
- Your emails remain with your old provider - they are only copied to eclipso Mail Europe.
- The migration service itself is free, but requires a paid plan (eclipso Connect, Premium, or Business).
- In case of errors: Delete the migration in progress and start again from step 1.
Email Migration Successful, What Now?
- After successful migration, go to the Email > Folder Management menu.
- In the "Custom Folders" section, you will now see all email folders that were successfully migrated.
- Click the "Subscribed" checkbox on the right if you want the email folder to be displayed in the folder navigation (left).
- Once the folder is displayed, you can open it and view its contents. If needed, you can now sort these emails and move/copy them to other folders.
- Tip: If you no longer need a folder, you can also delete it.
