If you prefer to send SMS messages online rather than using your smartphone, you can use eclipso SMS.
To use the SMS service, you must enter and verify your mobile phone number in your contact details.
- Go to the Settings menu > Account | Contact Details.
- First, select the country using the country code or the national flag. In the adjacent field, enter your current mobile phone number without the leading "0" (e.g., 160123456789) and save the information by clicking [ OK ].
- You will receive a verification code at the number you provided within a few moments.
- Once you have received the verification code via SMS, go to the SMS menu and follow the instructions.
- Once the verification code has been successfully confirmed and your account has a balance (credits), you can use the SMS function.

Payment is simple and secure using eclipso credits; you must top up your account with credits before sending SMS messages. Topping up your eclipso account is safe, fast, and easy, as we do not store any bank details. Available payment methods include PayPal, credit card, direct debit, and prepayment. If paying in advance, the credit is added to your account as soon as the payment has been received.
How to compose and send an SMS:
In the SMS menu of the desktop view, you can quickly and easily create SMS messages of up to 160 characters.
- Ensure that your mobile number is saved in your eclipso account. Otherwise, you will receive a warning message.
- Click on “SMS” in the main menu.
- Enter the recipient's mobile number in the “To” field or select a number from your address book.
- Compose your SMS text. You have up to 160 characters available.
- Click on “Send SMS” to send the message.
- The sent SMS is saved in the “Sent SMS” menu.
