Share folders in eclipso Drive

With the function "Drive-Share" you can share a folder from your eclipso Cloud with files, presentations, photos or documents with friends, family, acquaintances or colleagues. With a Share you can also share files that are too large for an email attachment with others.

In the Share Settings it is possible to set a password for each folder to protect the content from unauthorized access.

If you share a folder, they can send the link to your share conveniently and easily by email. Recipients of the sharing link can access the folders in your cloud and download the files, photos, documents or presentations.

If you do not share a folder, the folder remains visible only to you and is not displayed in the share.

  1. Select in the main menu "Drive".
  2. Create a folder by entering the name in the field Folder.
  3. Save the folder with "OK".
  4. Change to List view.
  5. Mark the folder. Now the menu opens in Navigation on the right side.
  6. Select the item "Sharing".
  7. Activate the checkbox "Sharing".
  8. Save the share with "OK".
  9. Change now to the folder.
  10. The link to your share is now displayed and can be called directly or sent by e-mail.


The share folder can be additionally password protected and thus protected against access by third parties.

Share folder can be password protected:
  1. Change to List view.
  2. Select the folder. Now the menu in the navigation on the right side will open.
  3. Select the item "Sharing".
  4. >In the field "Password" enter the password you want to use to protect the folder.
  5. Save the share with "OK".
  6. When you now open the link to the folder, your share will be displayed with all shared folders. With folders that are password protected, the password query will open first when you click on them.


The password can be sent by e-mail together with the share link. Alternatively, you can also tell the password personally to the authorized person.
